Šibenik is in the central part of the Croatian Adriatic Coast, in the picturesque and indented bay where the Krka River, one of the most beautiful karst rivers in Croatia enters the sea. Šibenik today is the administrative, political, economic, social and cultural centre of the County of Šibenik and Knin which extends along the 100 kilometre long coastline between the Zadar and Split Rivieras, extending up to 45 kilometres into the hinterland area, at the bottom of Dinara mountain.

Solta Island is located near Split, only nine nautical miles, and with eight connections per day in season became practically a suburb of Split. On the island to accommodate a total of eight places: along the coast, from east to west, are located in Maslinica, Necujam, Rogac (from the ferry port for the entire island) and olive trees, and in the interior of the island, and yet no more than two kilometers of the sea, in the Upper Village, Grohote (administrative center), Central Village and Lower Village. The whole island is 19 kilometers long and 4.5 kilometers wide, with a total area of 57 km2.
The southern side of the island hides many bays that can not be reached by car, and several excellent restaurants which have become indispensable on routes boaters and marina in olive groves, and the places of Stomorska and Rogac offering a safe place and quality requirements for ships.

On the southern part of the Makarska Riviera, at the foothill of mount Biokovo there lies Živogošće. It is comprised of three smaller, non-coherent places on the coast: Porat - Mala Duba – Blato, and old hamlets along the old road. Živogošće has been inhabited since Illyrian and Roman times, to which Illyrian tombs on top of hill Suzina stand as witnesses. Also, villa Rustika in Mala Duba and Blato does the same.
